Our growing law firm is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Legal Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys and other legal professionals to provide support in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. As with all of our positions, we work as a team and team members may be called upon to assist in other departments within our company.

Responsibilities
• Conducting research on legal cases, statutes, and regulations
• Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and contracts
• Preparing and filing legal documents with courts and government agencies
• Communicating with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel
• Assisting attorneys with trial preparation and court appearances
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and files
• Managing attorney calendars and scheduling appointments
• Performing administrative tasks such as answering phones, photocopying, and faxing • Inputting client information into our database
• Maintaining client confidentiality
Qualifications
• Associate Degree Required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• Must be able to successfully complete and pass each phase of our in-house training program
• Experience working with Microsoft Office programs
• Positive attitude and the willingness to go above and beyond for our clients and team
• Personable, with excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable interacting with clients, team members and attorneys
• Strong phone and computer skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Team player
• Ability to stay focused and organized
• Ability to learn on-the-job and think on your feet
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Experience working with Microsoft Office programs
• Administrative writing skills
